The works in bronze were originally created in clay and then cast in bronze - in editions of 15 - 20.  After she creates the original sculpture, Jan works on each piece throughout the process - from chasing the wax to working with the metalsmiths and patinists at the foundry to create exacting quality.

The works in fired clay are one-of-a-kind pieces and range in size from table-top to free standing. Two clay bodies are used - one to create relatively smooth surfaces and one to create a textured surface. Jan finishes the pieces with a patina in either blue or rust tones.
